Spring for a Day

We finally had some nice weather and took advantage of it! Parker tilled the backyard in preparation for new grass. Jackson and I did our part to help around the yard too. We were excited to plant more bulbs and potted plants in the front yard the other day.
Now our yard isn't looking so much like the long, long winter that we just had! Yea!
(Sorry it's taken so long to get new pictures up. These are the first I've taken since my last post. Yes, we've been busy and I haven't remembered to take the camera out. Now you'll get to see a little photoshoot!)

Our cute little boy & more spring!

Yes, it's near impossible to discipline this little face! We just think he is the cutest!

Jackson loves the sprinklers!

You'll have to watch the video to see how much he loved the sprinklers! I couldn't believe how he just stood there while they soaked him! There were a few times that he was a little frustrated because he couldn't figure out how to escape them, but for the most part, he was happy to be drenched!

Time for a new post?

Apparently my sister thinks that my blog is boring because I haven't added a new post for a few days. I've been busy! Since I don't have any pictures to add because I haven't taken any, I will fill this post with a detailed explanation about WHY I don't have a more "recent" post.

This quarter I am Student Teaching. This means that I am actually paying the University so that I can work 45 hours each week in a 1st/2nd mixed age class with a teacher whom I absolutely adore. I am having the time of my life, but HATE being away from home all day. I miss Jackson like crazy! The only thing that makes this experience bearable is knowing that I only have about 7 1/2 weeks left and then it's SUMMERTIME!!! Yeah!

Okay, so that means in order to stay sane, I go to bed by 9:30pm at the absolute latest each night because I am up by about 6:15-6:30am each morning. I usually get home in the afternoons around 4:00pm, sometimes later if I'm finishing something at school, but I try to get everything done by then so that I can be at home. I spend time doing homework (which now consists of lesson plans and preparations for the upcoming days), playing with Jackson, being with Parker, organizing our house (usually my piles that constantly acrew), make dinner, then get ready for bed. Monday is Family Home Evening, Tuesday is Achievement Days, Wednesday is Young Mens, Friday is tutoring my exchange student "friend" from Kazakstan, and then I try to relax. Parker walks out of the door as I'm walking in each afternoon (except Monday) and all day Saturday. As long as I'm alone with Jackson, doing anything on the computer is impossible because he LOVES the keyboard and mouse.

Did I mention that I am pregnant? Yeah, so a normal person would already be a little low on energy after one of my average weeks. Then, there is a little girl growing inside of me. This process takes any of the energy that I have left. Let's just say that a new post has clearly not been one of my top priorities lately.

On top of my busy schedule, Jackson has been trying so hard to be a happy boy, but it's difficult when he's still feeling the pain of his two top molars coming down, PLUS his lower cuspids and first two molars on the bottom are starting to poke through!! Holy smokes... 6 teeth at the same time! The little guy has got to be feeling some serious pain!

Well, Jackson woke up in the middle of this post and is not interested in my being on the computer anymore, so I will try to take some pictures and add them later!

Jackson Meets PINK

I thought it would be fun to surround Jackson with some of the PINK that we have been collecting. I don't know why I was surprised when he wouldn't sit still long enough to take a picture. Oh, well. These are cute anyway! I still can't believe we're going to have a GIRL!

So Small!

I couldn't believe how small those newborn size onesies are when I pulled them out of the boxes! So TINY!! And the shoes... Jackson has just gotten so big, it's hard to imagine that he was ever so small!
